Running for a period of 4 weeks over Summer in our Edinburgh office, our Summer Internships provide an opportunity to develop your legal skills and gain valuable practical work experience in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
Our paid summer internship programme is aimed at Scots Law or dual qualification students. You will currently be in your 3rd year at university or 1st year of an accelerated LLB and looking to secure a legal traineeship commencing in 2023. Applications are also welcome from students at later stages of their studies.
You will be allocated to a specific legal team throughout the duration of your internship, allowing you to fully immerse yourself into live client projects. All of our students are assigned a “buddy” for day to day support as well as a mentor to assign your workload.
This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your network of professional connections and gain insight into the complex matters our solicitors deal with on a daily basis. We understand that your past work experience may be limited and we ensure interns are fully supported through the process.
There will be opportunities in many of our teams, including:
- Land & Rural Business
- Private Client
- Energy, Strategic Land & Natural Resources
- Commercial Property
- Residential Property
- Dispute Resolution
If you are successful in gaining a summer internship and wish to apply for a 2023 Traineeship, you will be given the opportunity to participate in further recruitment testing for a traineeship position during your internship.
