Rachael Gibson

Rachael is a Solicitor in our Corporate team, specialising in data protection and commercial contracts. She advises clients on a broad range of matters, including data subject rights requests, data protection compliance, policy development and implementation, international data transfers, and the drafting, review and negotiation of both business-to-business and business-to-consumer commercial contracts.

Rachael joined Gillespie Macandrew as a Trainee Solicitor in 2024, having completed her LLB in Scots Law and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Strathclyde. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as an in-house Data Protection Advisor within the rail industry, providing her with valuable practical experience of advising on data protection issues in a commercial environment.

During her traineeship, Rachael completed seats in the Residential Property, Private Client, Corporate, and Land and Rural Business teams. She qualified into the Corporate team in September 2026.
